Printing for construction & the trades

Carbonless work orders that survive a truck cab, job-site signage that survives a winter, and invoices your crew will actually fill in.

Print that goes to the job site

Trades printing has a harder job than most. A work-order book lives in a truck through a Minnesota winter, gets written on with cold hands, and has to leave a legible copy with the customer and a legible copy for you. A job-site sign sits in weather for months. Neither is a design problem so much as a materials problem.

That is where being able to walk in and put your hands on the actual stock helps. A book that is too thin will fall apart by March; a sign on the wrong material will fade by August. We would rather have that conversation before the run than replace it afterwards.

What we watch for

Built for the conditions

The things that actually go wrong on this kind of work — and how we head them off before the run.

Carbonless that writes through

2-, 3- and 4-part NCR sets that transfer cleanly, sequentially numbered so nothing goes missing between the truck and the office.

Bound for the cab

Wraparound books with a writing shield hold up far better in a vehicle than loose pads. Padded works fine at a counter.

Signage that lasts a season

Coroplast yard signs, banners and site boards on material chosen for weather rather than for a photograph.

Reorders without a redesign

Your form stays on file. When you need more, it is a phone call — and the new books look exactly like the old ones.

Most ordered

What Construction & Trades orders

Contractors and service businesses need forms that survive the truck and signage that advertises every job. We specialize in durable carbonless work orders, yard signs and vehicle graphics for the trades.

FAQ

Questions from this industry.

More in the general printing FAQ, or call (320) 240-8880 and describe the job.

Can you number our work orders sequentially?

Yes, starting at any value you like and running continuously across every book in the order so numbers never repeat. See business forms.

How small an order will you take?

A couple of pads is fine. Most trades businesses order in small, frequent batches rather than annually, and we would rather size the run to how fast your crew goes through them.

Do you do job-site and yard signs?

Yes — Coroplast yard signs with stakes, banners, and larger site boards. One sign is a real order. See banners, signs and posters.

Can you match the form we already use?

Send a sample and we will recreate it exactly, so nobody on your crew has to relearn where anything goes.
