Printing for nonprofits & churches
Bulletins, appeals, raffle tickets and event print that looks like you spent money you did not actually spend.
Every dollar has somewhere else it could go
Nonprofit printing carries a tension no other industry has: the piece has to look credible enough that people trust you with their money, and cheap enough that spending on it does not feel like a betrayal of the mission. Those pull in opposite directions, and the way through is usually specification rather than compromise.
That is a conversation, not a price list. Often the honest answer is that a lighter stock will not be noticed, that one colour does the job, or that printing four hundred instead of a thousand costs barely more per useful piece once you account for the six hundred that would have gone in a cupboard. We would rather tell you that than sell you the bigger run.
What we watch for on nonprofit work
The things that actually go wrong on this kind of work — and how we head them off before the run.
Weekly deadlines that do not move
A bulletin is needed by Sunday. That is not a preference, and we schedule it as a fixed date rather than an estimate.
Volunteer-friendly files
Whoever lays out your newsletter may not be a designer. Send what you have — we will tell you plainly what needs fixing rather than bouncing it back with jargon.
Print only what gets used
Over-ordering is the most common waste we see in this sector. We will quote two quantities so you can see the real difference before deciding.
Mailing handled properly
Appeals live or die on reaching the right mailbox. We sort to postal standards and take it to the USPS, so the job does not land back on a volunteer.
What Nonprofits & Churches orders
From Sunday bulletins to year-end appeals, we help mission-driven organizations look professional and mail efficiently — and our full-service mailing takes the burden off your staff and volunteers.
Questions from this industry.
More in the general printing FAQ, or call (320) 240-8880 and describe the job.
Do you offer nonprofit pricing?
Ask when you request the quote and tell us what the piece is for. What we can always do is find the cheaper specification — stock, colour, quantity — which usually saves more than a discount line would.
Can you print raffle tickets for our fundraiser?
Yes, with sequential numbering and perforated stubs. If your organization is licensed for charitable gambling in Minnesota there is required wording on the ticket — check with the Gambling Control Board, then send us the text. See raffle tickets.
We need bulletins every week. Can that be standing?
Yes. Once the template exists, each week is new content in the same layout, and we can set up a recurring schedule so you are not re-ordering from scratch every Tuesday.
Can you handle our year-end appeal mailing?
Print, addressing, postal sorting and drop-off, quoted as one number including postage. See direct mail.
