Printing for restaurants & hospitality

Menus, table tents, to-go inserts and signage — printed cheaply enough to reprint when the prices move, which they will.

Your menu is a living document

The single most common thing we see in restaurant print is a beautiful, expensive menu with a sticker over one price and a pen line through an item. It happened because reprinting felt unaffordable, so the menu became something to preserve rather than something to update — and a first-time customer reads that as sloppiness rather than thrift.

The way out is structural. Keep the stable part of the menu stable, put the volatile items on an insert or a specials card, and reprint only the part that changed. Combined with keeping your file on record, that turns a price change from a redesign into a phone call.

What we watch for

What restaurant print has to survive

The things that actually go wrong on this kind of work — and how we head them off before the run.

A Friday dinner service

Menus get handled, spilled on and folded back. Coated stock and laminate exist for exactly this, and we will tell you which one your service actually needs.

Price changes you cannot predict

Structure the menu so the parts that move are the parts you reprint. It is the difference between a cheap update and an expensive one.

A room that matches

Menus, table tents, counter cards and window signage printed together look like one restaurant. Printed piecemeal over three years, they do not.

Short seasonal runs

A seasonal menu should be printed for the season, not for the year. Small runs are the point, not a compromise.

Most ordered

What Restaurants & Hospitality orders

Menus change, specials rotate and seasons turn — so restaurants need a printer that turns work around fast. We keep your menus, signage and loyalty pieces fresh and consistent across every touchpoint.

FAQ

Questions from this industry.

More in the general printing FAQ, or call (320) 240-8880 and describe the job.

How few menus can I order?

As few as you need. A cafe reprinting thirty after a price change is normal. See menu printing.

Should I laminate?

If the menu is handled every service, usually yes — it wipes clean and lasts. If your prices move often, an unlaminated reprint may serve you better, and we will say so.

Can you do to-go menus and delivery inserts too?

Yes, usually on a lighter stock so they are cheap enough to put in every bag. Printed alongside the dine-in menu so they match.

Do you print loyalty and punch cards?

We do — usually on the same heavy stock as business cards so they survive a wallet. See business cards.
